Another win for the air fryer. I used to avoid using fried tofu in dishes because it was one more thing I had to stand over the stove and monitor. But now I’ve figured out how to air fry the tofu, and it’s a game-changer because I can just pop the tofu into the air fryer and focus on whatever else I’m cooking while it does its thing. Or it’s an easy snack or side if I just want to eat with some dipping sauce. And you’d never know I air-fried it.

- extra firm tofu
- peanut oil
- corn starch
Place the tofu on a paper towel on a plate. Cover with another paper towel and plate. Place a weight on top. Let the weight press the liquid out of the tofu for about an hour.

Cut the tofu into slices. Coat each slice lightly with peanut oil, then corn starch.

Place the tofu in a single layer in the air fryer. Cook at 400 degrees F for 5 minutes. Flip the tofu pieces over and cook another 5 minutes.

You can use the fried tofu in dishes like stir-fry or pad thai, or just eat it with some yuzu ponzu dipping sauce.
