BBQ Pork Pita Pizza

I put this BBQ Pork Pita Pizza together using leftover bits of this and that rummaged from my fridge. It turned out so good that I have since endeavored to end up with Chinese BBQ pork and pita leftovers whenever possible so that I can whip up this tasty snack. It’s a little spicy and a little sweet, with awesome crunch from the panko. Don’t be weirded out by the seemingly strange blending of cultures between pizza, pita, and Chinese pork – BBQ pork pita pizza is a diversity of deliciousness.

Guessipe

  • 8 pieces BBQ pork
  • 1/3 cup panko
  • 1 pita, cut in half
  • pepperjack cheese, sliced
  • green onion, sliced
  • honey

Heat the BBQ pork in a pan until it starts to get crispy edges.

Remove the pork and toss the panko into the fat that has released from the pork.

Assemble the pizzas by layering pepperjack cheese slices onto the pita, then adding the BBQ pork and green onion. Sprinkle with panko, then drizzle with honey.
