Guava Ricotta Hors D’oeuvres

My cheese hookup came through again… this time with the creamiest, most incredible ricotta I have ever eaten! I just happened to have made guava jam using guavas gifted to me by my neighbors (I feel so lucky to have friends who like to give me food!), and it occurred to me that I could make a pretty fancy-seeming appetizer by spreading this amazing ricotta on crackers and topping it with a bit of homemade guava jam. I served it to some friends and they couldn’t stop saying how they could see themselves eating it in a fancy restaurant, so I decided to call it Guava Ricotta Hors D’oeuvres – much fancier than an appetizer 😉

Spread ricotta on a cracker that has a pretty neutral flavor but a touch of saltiness (I used Almond Nut-Thins with a Hint of Sea Salt, which worked perfectly). Dollop a bit of guava jam on top. Hire a waiter to serve it to your guests on a fancy tray haha!
