Jelly Meatballs

A friend of mine introduced me to grape jelly meatballs, which are meatballs slow-cooked in equal parts grape jelly and bbq sauce. They were good, but a touch sweet for my tastes. It inspired me to make a version equally as easy but more to my liking. I air-fried the meatballs to give them a crisp outside, and used chili garlic sauce instead of bbq sauce for some spice to complement the sweetness. Also I’ve found that you can use any flavor of jelly with equally yummy results.

Guessipe

  • 1 cup jelly (choose your flavor!)
  • 2 TBSP chili garlic sauce
  • 1/4 tsp salt plus more to taste
  • air-fried meatballs

Stir the jelly and chili garlic sauce over low heat until the jelly melts and becomes smooth. Add salt.

Toss the air-fried meatballs in the sauce. Great as a party appetizer or served over rice for a meal’s main course.
