A group of our food-loving friends got together for a Sunday Supper potluck, and it was quite the fall feast. Warming comfort food was abundant and wine was flowing!
I made jook (go here for my Guessipe), which is a hearty soup made with turkey and rice, then dressed to taste by the eater. This one has oyster sauce, sriracha, and fried garlic.
Robert and Halina made Indian meatballs with two kinds of dipping sauce. They look a bit charred on the outside, but were quite good.
Colin said he was going to bring a “vegetable side to lighten things up”. He then proceeded to show up with this squash stuffed with sausage, cheese, and homemade croutons. Gorgeous and delicious, but not what I’d call light 🙂
Sheana made this pumpkin stuffed with Gruyere, bread, and mushrooms. Another beautiful presentation taking advantage of the fall veggies.
Anthony made a chicken casserole. As you can see, there was no shortage of cheese, and chips for crunch.
For dessert, because you know all of those rich dinner dishes just weren’t enough 😉 Sheana made gingerbread maple pot de creme. I will never say no to creamy goodness in a ramekin with a torched sugar top!
