Tea Time II

We had so much fun at Tea Time, that we decided to do an encore presentation. We had tea and sweets again of course, but also expanded into more of a full-on meal – no complaints here! We’re hoping to make this an ongoing occurrence, and I’m personally hoping the feast continues to get more elaborate 🙂

Dinora did an amazing job decorating for our tea time, with purple as our theme color. She made this adorable snack station, including gorgeous purple cauliflower, which I’d never seen before!

She also had a drink station for those who wanted iced tea. And we each got to take home one of these awesome “Make it happen!” party cups.

Of course there were many varieties of hot tea, and cookies to go with them.

You can never have too many sweets to accompany your tea, so we also had about 15 different kinds of pan dulce.

This wonderful concoction is grape jello topped with sweetened condensed milk. I’d never had it before, but I’ll definitely be having it again.

Ever heard of vegan ceviche? Lentils, cucumbers, strawberry, and avocado, all in a citrus dressing.

A beautiful fruit salad.

I brought elote, a.k.a. Mexican corn on the cob. Check out my Guessipe here.

Just a few California rolls.

And another platter of sushi for good measure.

Plus four whole roasted chickens, lest we run out of food.

And in case starting with all of those cookies and pastries wasn’t enough sweets for anyone, there were blueberry cupcakes for dessert.

Wondering what army we were feeding at this tea party? This was actually a feast for just eight lovely ladies. Needless to say, there were plenty of eats to go around.
